Potential for noise - We are on the main street of Clare where you have some traffic noise

Rental Rates may have cleaning fees added to them and are subject to 6% Michigan tax

 

bookings

Primary Guest (“client”) must be an adult at least 25 years of age and will be an occupant of Property during the entire event period.

All monies paid are non-refundable and non-transferable. Final payment for event required 30 days prior to booked date.

Before Event

For events where alcohol is being served, a specific event insurance policy/rider is required and must be shown prior to the event. You can purchase this short-term policy/rider through your normal insurance agent, at a nominal cost.

cancellations

Change of plans prior to booking? No problem. You could receive a partial or full refund, depending on when you cancel.

For a full refund of accommodation fees, cancellation must be made a full 10 days prior to local event time. A reservation is officially canceled when either party have confirmed with emailed receipt. Cancellations less than 10 days prior to stay/event will be prorated at 50% of event fee. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your event, the complete event fee is non-refundable.

Additional Fees.

Under no circumstances is the 3% credit card surcharge refunded. Additional fees and taxes may apply.

If the Property becomes unavailable or unsuitable for rent for any reason, including but not limited to, casualty loss, construction, noise, physical deterioration, or loss of utility services, the Owners’ liability will be limited to the return of all monies paid on account at the time of cancellation. All monies received will be refunded to Client within 7 business days of confirmation of notice of cancellation. Every home has the potential for equipment to occasionally malfunction and we cannot guarantee every aspect of a home to be operational 100% of the time. Host will attempt to rectify any malfunctioning equipment, systems or amenities, however, Client agrees there are no refunds offered for any malfunctions.

Guest Code of Conduct



We have made our home available to share with responsible groups that will treat the home and neighborhood with respect.

In order to maintain the top quality of our home and the peace and quiet of our neighborhood, all guests must adhere to the following terms and conditions. Please make sure this home and our policies are compatible with your group and intended use. Thank you in advance for your understanding. 

  • Maximum Occupancy: Guests shall not exceed the number of adults and children published on the property listing.

  • Noise: Guests must keep the volume of voices and music to a reasonable level. Additional charges or immediate termination may apply in the event of excessive noise, nuisance or disturbance caused to neighboring properties during your occupancy. Client is fully responsible and liable for payment of all charges incurred, irrespective of such cancellation, together with any financial loss suffered by the property owner and or/agent, to be debited from my security deposit or credit card without further notice.

  • Parking:  Event guests may park on the street during the event. There is no overnight parking on the street and ticketing is enforced. Do not block neighboring driveways.

    • Note - Additional parking is available in the Methodist Church lot located off State Street only for events, and no overnight parking is permitted. There is a gate from the lot to the garden for your convenience. The church requests that guests not use the parking lot located on 7th street for event parking.

  • Damage Report: Things happen, we get it. Let us know right away so we can assess. During your event, you are fully responsible for all breakages and damage caused to the property, its furniture fittings, or any consequent loss suffered by the Owner.

  • Cleaning: A professional clean will be carried out on check out and the cost is included in your total booking amount. 

City of Clare ordinances

  • The city has noise ordinances that we must comply with - for any party, we must reduce noise after 10pm, and we will work with you and your guests to ensure we are in compliance.
